I'm Cynthia Jensen — most folks call me Cindy — an adult and geriatric nurse practitioner and the owner of Tamarack Adult Medicine in Oroville. I graduated from the University of Washington's nurse practitioner program in 2001 after ten years as a registered nurse, with much of that time spent in intensive care, home health, and hospice nursing.
Over more than two decades in practice I have cared for patients and families through the hardest moments of their lives, including at the end of life. That experience taught me that how a community handles death matters: families deserve answers that are accurate, timely, and delivered with compassion.
I'm running for Okanogan County Coroner as an independent because this office should be about professionalism and service, not politics. I will bring a clinician's rigor to death investigation and a caregiver's compassion to every family the office serves.
Determinations of cause and manner of death must be grounded in clinical evidence and handled to a professional medical standard. With decades of experience as a nurse practitioner and as an ICU, home health, and hospice nurse, I will bring clinical rigor, accuracy, and timeliness to every case the coroner's office handles.
Years of hospice and end-of-life care taught me that families in crisis need clear answers and respectful communication. The coroner's office should serve grieving families with compassion, keep them informed, and treat every person who comes through the office with dignity.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
